Eden Lit Club

Hosted by Airen Wolf

So, ok, what is this writing club all about and where do I fit in?

This club is a place for aspiring writers to get some helpful, friendly feedback on their talent. It will include, but not be limited to, erotica of all nature. The writing styles will be diverse and the community will be able to weigh in on the style, content and opinion (in the case of editorial type pieces). This club is not an erotica writing club, however. We write on a diverse number of topics and our club is about the joy of writing rather than a specific genre of writing.

We will be offering two topics chosen, and approved of, by you, the club members and an open topic for those writers who prefer a more free form arena. The writing style will be up to the individual writer. Each individual writer will have two weeks to write about the topic of their choice. We currently have a limit of three pieces per contributer, which allows each writer to write a piece on each topic, three pieces on one topic or any other combination for a total of three pieces per writer. The deadline for turning in your monthy submissions will betwo weeks before the next scheduled meeting to allow Rayne ample tme to post the work.

At the monthly meeting we’ll discuss the topics, how easy they were to work with or even how challenging! All commentary about the writing will be positive and we ask that you bring your ‘party manners’ to the meeting. We’ll touch on the pieces written by the members of the club, during the club meeting and then end with choosing some new topics for the next month! Everyone is welcome to join in the discussion, the thread will remain open for those who are unavailable for night meetings. This club is open to both writers and readers.

If we are working on any large projects we will ass an extra hour to the meeting to work on those. Currently we are working on our first book written by the Eden Fantasys Community!

We ask writer’s for finished pieces not story outlines or rough drafts. You choose how your work fits into the topic and you can provide a small blurb about the story, if you choose, or you can explain your thoughts on the piece at the meeting. We do not expect all writing to be erotica nor are you required to include any element of sex in the writing. This club is about the joy of writing and writing about a topic! You can be as hard core as you like and we ask that readers understand that this is a club that is open to extreme erotica, it’s not always going to be work friendly. We are expanding our literary boundaries and exploring the deep recesses of our creativity, sometimes it’s not going to be pretty but I predict it will always be exciting.

There is room in the future for contests, charity drives or virtually any type of writing based activity the community can dream up. There is room here for fiction writers, non-fiction writers, romance writers, poets, editorialists, and arm chair enthusiasts!

Two weeks before the meeting date will be the deadline for submissions and currently all submissions should be sent to Rayne(Rayne @EdenFantasys.com). We offer a $10 gift card for each piece you allow us to publish on our blog up to a maximum of $30 per month, per author. You are permitted to host your work on your own blog if you prefer or if you are submitting work already posted to your blog. Please provide Rayne a short introduction/teaser to post on the blog and a link to your site. Be aware that not all of our members will be able to access your blog from countries that prohibit surfing certain sites.

Any and all questions can be addressed to me at (Airenwolf @yahoo.com) or using the Eden Fantasys email system.

We are poets, essayists, erotica writers, speakers and readers. Yes, we welcome any and all readers, afterall what is the point of writing if no one is gonna read it? Is there a membership ritual that must be performed before you can call yourself an Eden Lit member? Heck no! Just write us a little something, preferably 300 words or more (unless you are an avid poet…300...

“Who Am I?”

“Who Am I?”

In 1998, Jackie Chan starred in a comedy movie titled “Who am I?” Although I’m not a martial arts fan, I watched the movie and laughed so hard that tears came to my eyes sometimes. Some of my favorite quotes from the movie are: Woman: “Everybody wants to know who you are.” Chan: So do I. In another scene Chan says, “You want to know who I am? I want to know who I am”. Finally Chan is asked what he wants and he replies, “I want my life back.” I didn’t realize it at the time – but...

Lessons Learned from My Two Mothers

With Thanksgiving approaching soon, I’ve been thinking about the things I’m grateful for and I often find myself reflecting on the lessons I’ve learned from my two mothers. Well, one mother and one “mother-in-love” as I called her because she was so special to me. I am one of those fortunate women who had an awesome mother-in-law. My mom and dad adopted me when I was a year old and I was the only child they had. Because I was adopted, my mother felt like she was raising another woman’s child and she needed...

Gratitude

This Thanksgiving, people all around the world will sit down to dinner with their families and raise their glasses to toast Thanksgiving. Many families go around the table and share all of the good things that have happened in their lives that they are thankful for. Folks will share about their great marriages, the healthy delivery of a baby or grandbaby and the joy of new relationships with significant others. As for me, as I prepare our Thanksgiving dinner, I will raise my glass and quietly toast those things for which I’m truly...

Thanksgiving

Here it is again, the year is almost complete and we will be looking forward to the New Year. However, we are not quite there yet; we still have Thanksgiving to celebrate. Do you think Thanksgiving sometimes gets overlooked? I mean there are football games, Black Friday sales, Christmas shopping, friends and family coming and going, food to cook, food to eat the list is endless. Does anyone in this day and age really stop and count their blessings on Thanksgiving or is it somehow overlooked and tossed aside for other things that are going...

What I’m Thankful For

What I’m Thankful For

I didn’t come from a family that goes around the table on Thanksgiving reciting the things we are each thankful for. I believe this is a good idea though, because I have many things to be thankful for. First, and foremost I am thankful that I am alive and healthy. I am also thankful that I have the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom to my children. I did not have that pleasure the first two years of my oldest’s life, and missed so many milestones. I am glad that I was able to witness these milestones in his younger brother. I am...

Pilgrimage

I have not personally experienced a pilgrimage, but my former bosses’ daughter went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem to see where her ancestors were from. I believe it was a very enlightening experience for her. When my grandpa died this June, I started doing some research into his family history. Through my research, I learned that his family came from Germany and immigrated to America. My husband has always found Germany to be interesting, and it amazed him that my ancestors on my grandpa’s side came from there. He expressed that he...

The next meeting of the Eden Lit Writers Club will be held on October 10, 2011 at 7pm and last until approximately 9 pm. The first hour of the meeting we will discuss the work submitted by our members on the topics we chose at our last meeting. The topics are: Spooky, Scary and Utterly erotic!- That’s right, you guessed it! All the things that go bump in the night is our October theme. Not, perhaps, totally original but I bet our stories will be!! Tattoos- How do you feel about body art? Do you love it? Hate it? Secretly lust after it?...

Bias and Prejudice

“They will never see past the tattoos, trust me, no parent ever does!” Bill shrugged as if it was a foregone conclusion but Aline felt compelled to defend her parents, “My parents never judge a book by it’s cover. They taught me to think for myself. Hell they never objected to my dating Richard Lopes!” “Rich is dead from the neck up but he LOOKS respectable,” he countered. She rolled her eyes and feltlike swearing, “He wears eyeliner for christsake! They never even flinched…” He cut...
