Workshops

Workshops are brought to you by members of the community that possess a skill that they want to share with the rest of us.  Oh heck, it doesn’t even necessarily have to be a skill, it can be a step by step on how to make something, show us what happens when you mix lubes with materials, anything really.  All you need is an idea, and you just have to send that idea to Gary and you can get your workshop underway.

Workshop Wrap-Up: Prostate Massage 101

For my third work shop, Prostate massage 101, I had a good turnout. About 30 folks joined in for a good night of learning the basics. Questions were asked and answers given and all learned a thing or two. I thought the best responses were from ladies telling me they were happy to learn that they were doing things somewhat right; they just did not have the right techniques. Like most things, everyone is different so trying new things is always a good idea. One thing I found interesting, out of the thirty folks that showed up, only four were...

Review Workshop: September Wrap-up

On Wednesday September 28th we had the monthly Review Program workshop. The topic was “All these changes”. The idea behind workshop was that, with all the updates and changes happening on the site, I wanted to give contributors a chance to ask questions about the updates and maybe get some spoilers about what’s coming up in the future. When asked how the community felt about the change to the forums, the general response was positive. Kake asked – “My question is is what is the comment about EdenTasks & the editors referring...

Workshop: P-spot

A little over two years ago, my dad had his prostate removed due to cancer. Seeing as my grand dad had testicular cancer I figured I needed to do all I can to promote my prostate heath. Along with eating the right foods, I looked to Google to find out what else could be done. One topic that kept popping up was prostate massage/milking; using a finger or sex toy to massage the prostate from inside the rectum. Now, I am no stranger to my anal area and my fingers have been up there since I was still in school. Funny that I never really knew why...

All these changes!

We’ve seen a lot of new updates and changes to EdenFantasys and the Review Program this last month. We’re now allowing lingerie/costumes for reviews, forums are updated, we won “Online Retailer of the Year” from StorErotica (follow them here: @storerotica_mag), and we just had a rotation in our EdenTasks editors. If there’s anything you want to discuss during the workshop, feel free to post your question on the thread: http://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-forum/clubs/workshops/workshop-wednesday-1/ and we’ll make sure it gets...

Workshop: Tips and Tricks. What to do when…

On Wednesday August 24th we had the monthly Review Program workshop. The topic was “Tips and Tricks. What to do when…” The idea behind workshop was that sometimes something unexpected happens with a student, review, order, etc. and you’re really not sure what to do about it. Some examples include: “My student just dropped off the face of the Earth! What do I do?” In this case, send them an on-site message along the lines of “Hey, I haven’t heard from you in a while. Is everything ok?” If you don’t hear back from them in...

Workshop: Cake Decorating

~*~This workshop has been postponed. We’re not yet sure of the new date, but will keep you posted. Sometimes buying a premade cake from a store doesn’t taste or look exactly how you’d like it. Baking and decorating your own cakes can be a sweet reward. It can also make a great family activity. Join me on July 21st from 7 to 9 pm EST for a workshop demonstrating cake and cupcake baking and decorating. I will provide step-by-step instructions as well as a demonstration on: baking cakes and cupcakes, creating and using your own fondant,...

Wrap-up: Grammar Workshop

Hey everyone! We had a great time at the Grammar Workshop and thanks to all who attended. We discussed things like how to get started writing a review, what to do about writer’s block, grammar and punctuation, and sentence structures. There was also some Q and A about run on sentences and what to do if you run into product details different from the product page. Antipova gave a wonderful example of good sentence lengths, and a lot of commonly confused words were finally fleshed out. We also had many wonderful suggestions from...

Wrap-up: Review Program Workshop – Q&A and Video Reviews

We had a great time at the last Review program workshop on the 22nd and talked about a variety of topics, from mentor program questions to assignments to video reviews. You can read the whole thing here: http://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-forum/clubs/workshops/workshop-wednesday-june/ We started with an intro to the workshop and had the usual welcoming chit chat back and forth. The first question of the night was about buy-out assignments. A new reviewer wanted to know if they were limited to their usual rank-based limit or if it went higher than...

Review Workshop: Grammar

There have been a lot of discussions going around about the process of writing and proofing reviews lately. We now have editors from the community proofreading reviews, and there has been some controversy over whether or not the program is effective. Part of this is due to grammar misuse and differences among languages. We will be discussing the most common grammar errors such as: comma use/misuse, run on sentences, and misused/confused words (discrete or discreet? their or there? too or to?), along with other ways to improve writing and...
